Hello Maans,

And don't worry. If you should come to Italy, I'll be happy to meet you and help you, as whoelse on this list FOR FREE. I've read very strange messages on this list which astonished me. When I speak, or help, or meet people is just to make new friends and because I'm really happy to share my experiences with others. :)

Euro is not yet a coin. By now it's only virtual and we still use our own national money. Only the change between money of the European Community countries has not yet any difference. They are fixed. Anyway you have excited my curiosity. Also I have tons of place still to visit, so, who knows :)

The trip you are thinking about sounds really great, but, believe me, not in 15 days!!! As soon as you are there, you'd regret about this choice. Also because you (like me) don't like to visit only towns and museums, but you like maybe small towns or not touristic places, and stay with locals. This needs more time then you have. This is my opinion of course, but I think that if you want have a relaxing holiday, visiting and meeting people, you should think about Portugal this time and Spain another time, with more days. I loved the North of Portugal, and maybe you could extend your visit also to Galicia (never been). The food there is great. I really loved Oporto, it's a really beautiful city. It's worth also the visit to Sandeman's producer of Porto and Sherry. There are many other manufacturers over there, and it is a nice (but be careful with the tastes or you'll get drunk as I did :)) visit. Don't loose: near Sandeman, going ahed, there is a very small restaurant. I was told to go there by a girl, who worked in a bar. When I saw it I thought it wasn't that good. How I was wrong!!! I had a delicious dinner. All seafood just wonderful and really fresh. Wine and I don't remember what else, but I was really full, and, 3 years ago, more or less, we spent about L. 17.000 each (about US$ 10). The name should be Adao. And, a part from the information you can have by Don and Linda, if you should decide, I'll try to give you more infos.
