Subject: Planning a trip to South Africa- would be grateful for information -Reply |
Hello Ann
There is so much to see and do in South Africa that one would need a little more information. How much time have you got, for example? Perhaps at this stage I could refer you to some web pages which might be helpful. http://ananzi.co.za is a South African search engine with many links in the Travel section. http://getawaytoday.com also has general information. http://parks-sa.co.za is the web page for the South African National Parks, including the Kruger National Park. It also offers online booking facilities. Try http://nelsonsguides.co.za for information on Cape Town and the Western Cape Province, including the Namaqualand wild flower spectacular in our spring. http://ectourism.co.za will give you infomation on the Eastern Cape Province at the other end of the Garden Route. Many parts of South Africa are best done by car, I agree. The roads are generally good and the area north of Cape Town in which you are interested is safe and very interesting. I can unfortunately not comment on tour operators. My family and I have travelled extensively by road across South Africa, Namibia and part of Botswana but always on our own. Please do not hesitate to contact me via the Travelzine or directly if I can help with specific questions. Sincerely Maans Kemp Port Elizabeth South Africa maans |
