Hi, some advice for Boston. MUST eat at Legal Seafood in Boston.
They are at the Park Plaza Hotel, about 2-3 blocks
from the Common, near Chinatown which is off Washington St.
Anthony's Pier 4 is a touristy restaurant, if you are in that area find the
NO Name Restaurant It's a a pier upstairs near Pier 4. also visit Fanuil
Hall marketplace area, good shop and sightseeing. If you are there on a Sat
or Fri the Haymarket is open also for fresh produce.
If you are going to drive out of Boston to Maine Go up to Salem, MA I-95 [rt 128] Visit the Witches museum and witches house and several of the other interesting places including the old customs house. By the way MUST see Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Visit Newbury and Newburyport, you wont be disappointed if you like historic houses, Beautiful old towns esp, Newburyport. Up rt one to New Hampshire I always found tacky until you come to Portsmouth, NH, Probably one of the most historic towns in the US. John Paul Jones lived here among others. Visit Strawberry Banke a reconstructed area of authentic 18th and 19 cent. homes. Some have been moved there but others are original. Take one of the bridges over to Maine and go up the coast. regards Alan |
