I researched this trip for almost one year and got lots of goodies. As far as Bellagio, I got my inspiration from a travel postcard posted on the web at: http://www.lunadesigns.com/travels/bellagio/index.htm I got the Hotel from them, found it on the web at: http://www.fromitaly.net/bellagio/H3/BELVEDER/ and e-mailed them for rates. We ended up getting their jr suites which are on floor (-1) yep, thats minus one. All the suites face the Lake. We had Lake Como on one side and Lake Lecco on the other. We had a balcony with tables where all six of us would gather for our alfresco cocktail hour using our adjoining balconies and then return for dessert &expresso with holy water (sambucca). The travel agent had to give us the room rate quoted by the hotel which was much cheaper than what the agent quoted us for the room. Its run by a family, they speak english and its very close to the ferry. Very convenient for day trips to Lake Lugano and even St Moritz. Bellagio was the highlight of the entire trip. We compared everything to it from then on. If you stay at the Belvedere, you must try their strawberry rice appetizer, made with champagne. Outrageous! Enjoy your travels!!
