Hi Linda and Don. You're absolutely right. Slovenia is one of Europe's best
kept secrets. Of the Eastern European countries we visited, it was probably
the most advanced politically and friendly. Just returned from Czech rep.
also and found a delightful city called Kutna Hora. It was the former seat
of the Kings of Bohemia and is most well known as the site of the royal mint
and the fabulous silver mine that can be visited. I believe that it fell on
hard times in the 15th cent. At one time it rivaled Prague. in importance.
Also found a city called Telc, there little tourists while we were there.
Stayed at a decent hotel for USD $25 and had a good breakfast for $2 for the
both of us. It has a beautiful town square. alan
