Cynthia, et al;
Speaking of Christmas markets - we've got one right here in Chicago! The
Christkrindlmarkt (sp?), based on the one in Nurnberg, is in Daley Plaza
through the holidays. There are little huts with things to sell and food
stalls too. Most important - a beer tent! Mark, Isabel, and I went the
other day and bought German (style) Xmas ornaments, then had potato pancakes
and brats for dinner. I don't know how long it goes on but you can call
the Mayor's Office of Special Events or look at Metromix.com. For those
of you who don't know, Daley Plaza is in Chicago's Loop (downtown) where
the Picasso statue is, just steps from the famous Marshall Field's windows.
Chicago is so wonderfully festive during the holidays!!
