Subject: RE: budapest, Cracow, and Warsaw hotels
Fran: We stayed at the Pilvax in Budapest in September 1998 and found it to be very good. The interior has been completely modernized. The rooms, while small, are well furnished and the bathrooms are up-to-date. The location is very central (only a couple of blocks from the main pedestrian shopping street). The street, because cars are not allowed, is quiet. There is no elevator and it might be a good idea to ask for a room on the lower floors. The room rates, when were there, were most reasonable. The restaurant, while not a gourmet place, is quite ok. (There are better restaurants quite close). You might want to look at their web site : http://www.liget.hu/pilvax/citypilv.htm Hope this is of some use. Howard Mann, Vancouver
