We really enjoyed a dinner that we had in Venice at the Trattoria Poveleda
on Lista di Spagna (the street that passes in front of Santa Lucia Station).
If you go to nearby Padua, which is famous as the university Galileo taught
at, try the Vecchia Padua.
Unfortunately, I cannot remember the names of the restaurants we especially enjoyed in Rome save that it is difficult to go wrong in either the Trastevere, Piazza Navonna, or Campo di Fiore areas if you find a place that has been there for any length of time. The competition is simply too great. I am especially interested in others' comments on Cinque Terra because we will be going there this May. Ira H. Bernstein |
