I agree with Joel...La Spezia is an industrialized port city...nothing special
compared to other nearby towns. Monterosso al Mare (Cinqueterra) is just a short
train ride from La Spezia and has the delightful Hotel PortoRoca

This hotel is gorgeous and has a fabulous restaurant. I believe that Porto Roca get 4 stars. It is very romantic, and one of the Cinque Terra hiking trails begins on the hotel property. Let us hear where you decide to stay. Debbie Cole-Weber |
