In Muerren, the most beautiful place in the world--if you like mountains--a fantastic view can be had from the Hotel Eiger, a 4 star hotel. Lesser hotels, but with true examples of Swiss ambience is the Alpenruh with a great view and the Blumenthal, but not with as spectacular a view. We have stayed at the Alpina in Muerren, but it falls short of your 4 star requirements. However, we would return there in a heartbeat for a short stay.
