Subject: Paris hotel/Piedemont hotel information
Hi John, In Florence I would highly recommend the Helvetia-Bristol. The sevice is outstanding and it has a wonderful location. Avoid the Torre di bellosguardo; it makes a better museum that a hotel and the service is non-existent. If you rent a car you can easily get to any location in Tuscany within an hour or so. Drive south to Chianti! In Paris if you can tell me your budget (how many stars?) I can recommend some good ones. Personally I don't like staying too close to the tourist attractions as they are too crowded and you miss the charming neighborhood feel. I prefer the 16th arr. area as it is very easy to get to most tourist attractions (within walking distance) but is still French. If you are leaving soon remember to keep up on the transportation strikes that are happening. Good Travelling! Kris
