Lucinda- Thanks for the idea. The Mariachi bands are quite impressive. In 1970 I took a Tropical Biology course in Chiapas, the southernmost state of Mexico. We stayed in the capital, Tuxtla Gutierrez, at a Hotel called Hotel Bonampak. The name Bonampak was quite prominent in the town. There were about 35 of us in the course. Each day we would venture out into the different biomes (rain forests, highlands, pacific coast, scrub, etc.) and look for samples. It was fascinating. Anyway, towards the end of our stay the Bonampak family invited us all to a party at the hotel, featuring a Mariachi band! It was a really nice gesture, and something I had never seen before. At the time, the Mexicans were as equally fascinated by our frisbees, which they had never seen before! Thanks, Gary
