Subject: Italy via Trafalgar Tours?
I agree with Joel. On our first trip to Italy we spent about 10 days there, 5 days in Rome then the train to Florence and 4 days there. The train is fast and easy. We did not see Venice or some of the many beautiful towns that we went to on later trips, but we were able to enjoy and appreciate Rome and Florence. It is easy to underestimate how much there is to see in both cities. Plus, it took us awhile to figure out when things are closed (chiuso), which was often. We also had time to shop, sit in cafes and drink cappuccino and watch the people. The relaxed timeframe made everything more enjoyable. Ed
