Why not sample the northern portion of Bavaria, Franconia, for a day or
two. A distinctly different area than Upper Bavaria (to the south), yet
just as interesting. Rothenburg, Wuerzburg, Bamberg ... just a few of
the places to visit.
You would find Iphofen, a small and charming, walled village straight from the middle ages a fine place to stay for two or three nights. Well located as a sightseeing base. More info on the village and the area at http://www.twenj.com/bavaria.htm Driving in German is just fine. Excellent roads, good drivers. See http://www.twenj.com/bavariacar.htm You'll find some helpful information on Ludwig's castles and nearby sights at http://www.twenj.com/bavarianeu.htm Ed |
