Subject: New Orleans
Definitely see the current new exhibit on Mardi Gras in the Presbytere--the entire museum is devoted to this and it is smashing!! Our lunch at Galatoires was memorable (do have the Cafe Brulot--quite a performance to close the meal). And just walk and walk and savor the ambiance of New Orleans--the French Quarter, the Garden District, the Riverfront. And if you decide to go on a cemetery tour, go with Robert Florence; he is the ranking authority, I am told, on New Orleans cemeteries and presents a fascinating tour. He also includes voodoo sites. And have beignets and cafe au lait at Cafe du Monde (and bring home some beignet mix and some coffee with chicory--I was pleased that the beignets and coffee tasted awfully good at home here in Baltimore, even without the Jackson Square atmosphere! Enjoy! We would love to go back.

Cheers Pat Baltimore
