Subject: Re: What Weird Stuff Have You Eaten?
Oaxaca, Mexico -- fried grasshoppers (we saw the live worms for tacos but passed) Zihuatanejo, Mexico -- some kind of ray (our vote for hardest food to get down) Peru -- skewered beef hearts and other glands (pretty good, we thought; we saw but did not try the guinea pig) Pennsylvania -- squirrel (very tasty), I know this is ordinary for many people Africa -- at a *meat-only* restaurant -- lots of unusual things including crocodile, giraffe, zebra, gazelle, etc.

Does sea cucumber (a large sea slug) count, or is too ordinary?
