Subject: Re: Single Room on a Motorcoach Tour
On several trips I booked the single room supplement and have had all types of rooms. They were always near the rest of the group. There were usually smaller but not uncomfortable. It was better than being paired up with someone you didn't know and who had very different habits than you did. Plus after being enclosed with fifty other people on a bus all day, I enjoyed the quiet and freedom of being alone. I was with a different tour company when I toured Italy so I can't say for Maupin, but most hotels in Italy did have very small rooms as singles. But again, the privacy was worth it. They had comfortable beds and that is what I needed.
