|Subject: Re: Greek Islands mid-May|
We go to Greece the every May (except last year when we had a fabulous trip
to Corsica) to see the wild flowers bloom on the islands, hang-out and
experience all the wonders of life on the islands from eating in the local
taverns, climbing the Profitis Ilius of each island that we visit, and
staying in rented rooms - with tiny balconies that overlook that georgeous
Aegean, to hiking to secluded beaches where we can spend the day in privacy -
looking at the transparent waters colored from pale aqua to deep purple.
We have visited Patmos, Samos, Rhodes, Karpathos, Paros, Naxos, Santorini, Ios, Folegandros, Sifnos and Crete - But help! Does anyone know anything about Amorgos or Astapalia? My husband would love to see those islands this year and we don't know what they are like.
All suggestions are welcome as we will go anywhere in the islands (we do prefer those furthest away from Athens, though) We will have 15 days to roam with the ferries or flying dolphin but I'd love to hear from anyone who has a favorite. Thanks to all. Susie - Newton MA
