|Subject: More on Paris daytrips|
Well, my confusion just grows and grows. During a nice walk in the woods today, my husband and I decided upon Vaux-le-Vicomte over Chartres for our Paris daytrip.
But, upon arriving home, there was a message from the famous Jack of http://i.am/jack_travel whose website has been mentioned here on the Zine. Well, Jack suggests Chantilly over Vaux-le-Vicomte. I am so confused.
I would love feedback from Paris-experienced Ziners. What would you choose? Keep in mind that our trip will be before the candlelight tour season at Vaux-le-Vicomte. Also, not on a day when the fountains are on.
We decided against Chartre this time, because we have been doing Cathedrals pretty relentlessly for the past few years, and thought we would like a sumptuous chateau for a change. ( I voiced inclinations of the very opposite sort lately, but I have my hubby to consider. I have been to Versaille, but he hasn't. He wants to see some over the top aristocratic stuff for himself.)
And doesn't anyone care to add a favorite restaurant in Paris to our list? We are still looking for recommendations for delicious, casual, and not requiring a second mortgage.
Thanks everyone (Merci) Debbie
