Subject: Re: Overnight trains in Europe--how safe?
Hello Didi,

I have traveled a lot on overnight train in Italy ad abroad (from Milan to Paris too). I have never had problems but, I agree with Paolo, you have to follow simple rules (lock from inside is the FIRST rule!). I'd add an other rule: keep close the window. About 2nd class, actually I don't know if it is true on the Milan-Paris trains but on the train that runs in Italy there are 2th class with 4 beds for a little bit more than 6 beds. I'm sure that you won't have any problem!

Have a good trip, Marco in Milan (Italy).
