|Subject: Italian Tourist Information & phones|
I have just found a new service managed from the Italian State Tourism Board
(ENIT, http://www.enit.it), it is a multilanguage call center concerning
accommodation, transports, museums and so on. Here there is an hard copy of
the web site
In operation since 30 December 1999, the national Call Center is the result of an Agreement between the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Handicraft, Telecom Plus International SpA and ENIT.
If you are calling from Italy 800.117700 (toll free) You can phone the Call Center free of charge from any public, private or cellular telephone.
If you are calling from abroad 0039-06-87419007 The call is chargeable. The Call Center operates every day, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., except on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday when it will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Italian time)
The Call Center has multilingual operators who can supply information (obtained from Public Institutions and Territorial Bodies, thus ensuring its certified quality) in Italian, English, French, German and Spanish related to the following subjects: Safety Health Care Events and Shows Museums and Exibitions Transport and Traffic Useful Phone Numbers, Information Point and Tourist and Religious Assistance Accomodation ( fax on demand)
Hope this is useful for someone! Ciao, Marco in Milan - Italy
