|Subject: Santa Fe long week-end|
I'm just back from a quick four days to Albuquerque (to see my mom), Santa
Fe for three nights and a day trip to Taos. We stayed at the Otra Vez, a
time-share condo that rents places for a nightly fee. We had a two
bedroom, with queen beds in each and queen sofa-bed in living room,
fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, and wonderful location. It is about a
block and half from the Plaza. Oh, parking is included so you can just
leave the car and walk to all the downtown location. Winter rates were
still on so it was $155 per night.
I did a cooking class at the Santa Fe Cooking School which was fun. Local chefs come in and prepare a set menu for the class who gets to eat the finished product for lunch.
We did two dinners at Cafe Pasqueal and enjoyed both. Lunch in Taos was at the Apple Inn (hope that is right) on Brent St. Again, very good.
We visited the Georgia O'Keefe Museum again and the Arts and Crafts Museum. Finished up with tea at the Saint Francis Hotel downtown.
Lovely short break that was just relaxing and not taxing. Beth Sloan
