Subject: Re: Should I go to Albuquerque, New Mexico?
My wife and I were there a year ago for about that period of time for me to attended a convention. We stayed at the Sheraton Old Town, which was located adjacent to an arts and crafts area. We certainly dined well. However, I am rather quickly sated on looking at silver and turquoise jewelery (others may find it more attractive). The area is beautiful.

However we rented a car and went to Taos for part of a day. The car was not terribly expensive (about $50/day) and might be worth considering. I don't have first hand experience with the local transportation, but, like most cities in the Southwest, it was probably built around the expectation that people would drive. Perhaps others who have been there without a car can be more useful in this regard than I can.
