|Subject: Parking in Venice|
There are some parking lots as you enter Venice proper, the main one being
at Piazzale Roma. It is very crowded and if you are entering
Venice on a weeekend, or in the middle of the day, be prepared for a good
long wait to get into the parking lot. There are some independent lots
you will see first, but it isn't recommended that you use them.
We once parked at the train station in Mestre. This wasn't that difficult, except for finding your way there. Have good maps and directions. There you can catch a train to the Venice train station, and from there it is waterbus or watertaxi to where you are headed in Venice.
Hope this helps, Debbie Pittsburgh
