This is in response to Tom Rafferty's question about parking his car. Like
others, we have never driven to Venice, but we are big fans of Padua, which
is only a few minutes further on even the slowest of trains than is Maestre.
Padua is a great university town (Galileo, Copernicus, and others taught
there) with much to see in its own right. If I am not mistaken, there is
parking at the train station. We have stayed there twice and commuted in to
Venice. Trains run until at least midnight.
