Subject: Venice
This is in response to Tom Rafferty's question about parking his car. Like others, we have never driven to Venice, but we are big fans of Padua, which is only a few minutes further on even the slowest of trains than is Maestre. Padua is a great university town (Galileo, Copernicus, and others taught there) with much to see in its own right. If I am not mistaken, there is parking at the train station. We have stayed there twice and commuted in to Venice. Trains run until at least midnight.
