Apart from tuorist spots and larger towns, Slovenia has many lodgings on private rooms (room only usually), plus many family inns on main roads. The tourist offices can easily direct you to many of them, if you don't find them on the way, but sometimes language is a problem in dealing with owners, if you speak English only. Slovenia has an extensive bus net while the railroads connect some routes only. If you want to tour the countryside, which is really beautiful, you need a car.
