|Subject: Molini Di Triora Hotel|
This is the name and number :
Phone #= 94-019 ( this is all I have so you may need a code
in front to reach the area.)
Santo Spirito = No address listed on card but it is on the
main street to the right when you pull into town. Next to the corner
store called Zia Maria which is run by this women Angelina who was
a trip. If there is noone at hotel she will call them for you. Very
little english spoken in this area. French / Italian. The store has
amazing picnic supplies from homemade things to salami made from
Chingale and cured in Borolo. About 20 different cheeses all for the
tasting, as well as a bakery across the street for bread.
I wish I had better info. for you guys. I would recomend this hotel and region to anyone who loves quiet mountain splendor. As a bonus if you are there from the end of Sept. through mid Oct. they have wild mushroom picking considered some of the best in Europe. Swiss, French, and of course Italians all come here to pick. Chestnut trees line the roads and chestnuts are everywhere starting in Oct. There are many , many, little villages around this area and I would plan at least 2-3 days here or you will miss the overall fell of the area. They have a market every afternoon with local hunter and gatherers. If you can go in the fall the colors are better then any I have seen including New England. There are limited facilities in this area so do not look for shopping or entertainment. Hiking is wonderful though. I found some stuff on the web after all! Check above link.
Thank You, David West CA. U.S.A.
