Sedona is touristy but I disagree regarding Moab because I find Arches National Park absolutely beautiful. The town of Moab is not enticing in itself but the park is fantastic in it's rock formations. However it is a good distance from Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce..... if you do come up as far as Moab, then come a bit farther into Colorado to the Colorado National Monument which is near Grand Junction. However, I would be more inclined to Canyon de Chelly (pronounced Shay) or Mesa Verde if I were to travel a distance from GC. The Badlands (where so many old western movies were filmed) is quite interesting as well.
