Subject: Lake Garda |
I also am not an expert on Lake Garda, having only been there once. I
stayed in Sirmione, which I thought was fun, if crowded on the weekend
with
tourists, and visited Garda, which seemed less historic and atmospheric,
although I did not cover the entire town.
I did meet a couple from the UK who were staying in Limone, at the northern end of the lake, and the LOVED it there. They thought the town was beautiful, with access, by boat, to the other lakeside towns. We stayed in an expensive hotel in Sirmione, with a pool at the lake shore. Pretty nice pool, but I don't recall anything else about the hotel that would have made it worth the high price. Debbie Pitsburgh |
