|Subject: Ibis Hotels, France|
You're right. Many of the Ibis hotels in the French countryside are not
in the middle of things, but often on the edge of town, near an autoroute
or national route, so if you're not driving they may be inconvenient.
However, quite a few Ibis hotels are in the middle of things. For
example, the Ibis we stayed at in Nantes was in centre ville -- downtown.
The Paris Ibises are located all over the city. A few are on the edge of
town, off the Peripherique (beltway), but some are in the center of town,
for example down the street from Montparnasse station.
