Subject: Boston and New England
Susana - I'm sure you are aware that fall foliage in New England is the height of the season for the whole area. Things are booked so you might have to scramble a bit if you don't have reservations. What is your price range? The things I know in NH are in the White Mountain/Sugar Hill area near Littleton and Bethlehem. In Vermont, we have hiked there but we stay in Burlington along route 7 at motels as we go to the Mozart Festival and want to be close. I don't know Inn's there. I do, however, know wonderful places in Maine (Bath, Searsport, Mt. Desert Island and Cape Neddick) I have some inns I know but don't want you crisscrossing the whole area. Do you have any plans at all? Will you be going to the Berkshires? They are in the western part of Massachusetts and are beautiful. (Wonderful museum in Williamstown MA., Frances and Sterling Clark Museum) How long will you be in Boston. (Also, until Sept 24th, there is a VanGogh portrait show at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston - fantastic!) Susie Newton, MA
