David Another 2 similar sites are: I also have a book with listings (handy to bring in the car on trips) but of course the web sites are more up to date. We travel with 2 large dogs, and have found that if we are making reservations in advance, it's best to make them directly with the hotel/motel (instead of the central 800 number) as we can then ask for a ground floor room, or one away from the ice/soda machine, etc. (noisy enough for the dogs to wake up and think they have to protect us from intruders...). I've found a wide range of attitudes, from total acceptance, no extra charge, etc. to restrictions to one small pet and $25 extra charges. Connie Houston/Minocqua
