Hi Covadonga!

I agree with Gretchen...it's better to borrow a hair dryer, if available, from the hotel front desk. I've left behind burned out curling irons/hair dryers in Cairo, Rio, and a couple of other places......but not anymore! One tip from my daughter: she tries to buy an inexpensive hair dryer from the country she's visiting (if there for any length of time) and then leaves behind for the hotel staff. Have a wonderful adventure!
