Subject: McPhilly
Hi Paolo, First of all just let me say McDonald's doesn't really make a Philly Sandwich (I don't think). A Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is essentially beef, peppers and onions which have been sliced and chopped (not ground beef). This is fried and then cheese is added near the end so it all melts together. Then it is put on a roll. There may be many variations but I have only had two sandwiches and they came from the same place. There are, according to my guidebook, two restaurants in Philadelphia which claim to be the originators of this sandwich (hence the Philly). I have heard it called 'heart attack on a bun'...but it's delicious. Jude
