Subject: Re: Packing Lite & Wrinkles |
Whether it's traveling to Italy (last year) or to the
Oregon coast (this year), I am convinced that
ziplock baggies are the way to go. It's great to
reach into your bag and pull out a bag of undies
or shirts or whatever. Although I'm not crazy
about wrinkles and prefer cotton or cotton blends,
one trick I used was to wash a shirt (only works
with light to medium weights), put it on a hanger
and stretch it into shape. It either dried overnight
or if it was damp in the morning I could reshape it
again. It worked well and my husband was
impressed. Not as crisp as if I'd ironed it (as if!)
but perfectly accepable. I'd love to get down to
a 7lb bag, but I don't think I ever will.
