Subject: Indianapolis
With regard to other attractions . . . it kind of depends on what you're looking for and when you plan to visit. We have a very fine Museum of Art which hosts a wonderful event the second weekend in September called Penrod. There is also a museum dedicated to Native American Art called the Eiteljorg Museum. There is the newly opened Indiana Historical Society building and the NCAA Hall of Champions, both of which are on the downtown canal. Downtown Indy also has some great dining/entertainment options. One of the most popular, especially in the Summer months is the Rathskeller, a great German restaurant with an outdoor Biergarten and live music. Also, there are several festivals coming up including the Greek Fest, St. Joan of Arc Fest, Fiesta Latina and the aforementioned Penrod Art Fest. Indy really has come a long way to rehabilitate it's reputation as nap town. By the way, where exactly you - 2 hrs. away? Perhaps it will be possible to arrange a GTG and I can show you some of the highlights of my city.
