Liveaboard dive boats are really for diving only. They go out to the diving area & spend 5-7 days, each day in a new location, & divers spend their time diving! They rarely come back into any port during the trip's duration.
Generally, divers make a deeper morning dive & shallower afternoon dive, or a night dive. You can snorkle & swim as much as you want, since that doesn't affect your adherance to diving tables. After that much diving, all you want to do is fall into bed at night!

Kuranda is really a nice village (reminds me a lot of my town, Eugene) & the skyrail & rail trips are very scenic, but GBR, now that's the deal. Gail in Eugene
