Subject: Train travel in Europe
Barbara: The following website is a great one for travelling by train in Europe. http://www.raileurope.com/us/ Someone in the group had posted it ages ago. Enjoy your travels through Europe. Just one point to note (I believe this still applies) - although the train may go to a city you wish to visit, don't assume the WHOLE train goes there. They used to have plackards on the carriages indicating which carriage went where as quite often the train you were was separated at a certain town and, if not in the right carriage, you may end up in another city. It happened to me. However, I had a Eurail Pass, was travelling alone, had no time constraints and had a delightful (albeit unplanned) trip to Geneva! Marty in Toronto
