Subject: Dinner reservations at Grand Canyon Lodge
Having just made four long-distance phone calls (no 800 number) to this Lodge to make dinner reservations (as required) for our two-night stay there soon and after being told, four times, that there is no one in the dining room or there is only one person in the dining room and he is too busy to take reservations etc., I am disgusted with Amfac Parks and Resorts. One cannot make these dinner reservations while making room reservations--you must make a separate call or calls at your own expense. Now I am wondering if it is worth it. Can one eat somewhere else in this Lodge or on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon? It seems a poor way to run a business. Any advice? Cheers, Pat in Baltimore
