Subject: RE: Italian train supplements
My experience this summer says they add the fee if they issue the ticket, but not for just the supplement. In the ticket line at Verona, people in front of me were debating whether to pay the L. 8000 extra for an Inter City train to Milano. On the train, someone in my compartment didn't have the supplement; the conductor charged him the same L. 8000, nothing more.
