While Christmas in Spain is indeed Dec. 25, it is not strictly true that it is
the same all over the world. Certain churches, most notably the Orthodox
Church in Russia and the Coptic Church in Egypt, observe their holidays on the
Julian calendar. When the church calendar says it is Dec. 25, the outside
world's calendar says Jan. 7; that's when these churches observe Christmas.
