We spent Christmas there several years ago. True, its quiet on Christmas
Day and Boxing Day, but in the days before the stores and decorations are
great fun. We were lucky enough to travel to friends in Lincoln for
Christmas and Boxing Days, and I would suggest finding a location out of
the city for then - there must be resorts and places offering Christmas
packages, and you might just have to relax with a book and enjoy the
countryside or the sea.
