|Subject: Re: Scandinavia; driving in Ireland|
Thanks very much to Martin Basiszta for his comments on Scandinavia.
However, I think he had an unusual experience in Estonia. We were there
for a day and a half in July and found the people friendly, the prices
fair, and Tallin most fascinating. (Although we had just come from Russia,
so almost anything would have been more comfortable.)
In the same vein, someone (sorry, I missed the original message) said: I do know, that I will never drive in another country again. Ireland cured me of that idea. We drove in Ireland last October, and while the roads (and lack of signage in some areas) were a slight challenge, it was not that bad. Also, public transportation being what it is there, driving is about the only way to see the country.
