Subject: Re: Thanksgiving Time in SAN DIEGO? |
Maddy,
San Diego has an abundance of outdoor activities of the type you mentioned.
In my previous post I mentioned Torrey Pines State Park which combines
all three of your interests mentioned (walking trails, ocean parks, birds).
Here is a link regarding birding in San Diego County: http://sdbirds.basiclink.com/ An outstanding publication for those interested in hiking in San Diego County is Afoot and Afield in San Diego County by Jerry Schad. Weather in November is very mild. Daytime temperatures in the high 60's to low 70's with overnight lows in the mid 50's. The winter rains usually don't start until later in December (although I'm not going to guarantee you an early winter storm won't pass through during your stay). Oddly enough it is raining lightly as I write this. In fact, instead of rain you're as likely to encounter one of our Santa Ana conditions (hot temperatures with strong winds from the east) at that time of year. All in all, November is a beautiful month out here in San Diego and you'll find plenty of activities to fill your time. Any other help I can give just ask. John Rule San Diego, CA |
