Madrid is prettier than Barcelona as the architecture is unbelievable. I was there during the summer and was able to sit outside and eat. They had book stalls where you could buy everything. I speak some Spanish, so I got along just fine, but I visited the Prado Museum, and while it was impressive, once you have seen the Louvre, it is all downhill. Much of Madrid's city streets remind me of the Rue de la Paix. The concierge at your hotel could help you with side tours. Elaine |
