Maddy,
I noticed that the Pacific Terrace Hotel you'll be staying in is located
in Pacific Beach. This is less than a ten minute drive to La Jolla so
a move up that way may not be much of a change (regarding sights to see).
Of course, being from San Diego I never stay in B&B's, cottages, or small inns here. And although I am familiar with the large hotel properties in the city my knowledge of other more intimate accomodations is woefully inadequate. However, I did find this web address that may help: http://www.julianbnbguild.com/ For Julian B&B's. Also, just around the corner from our home is a B&B called CRONE'S COBBLESTONE COTTAGE. This is located in the Mission Hills neighborhood on the hills directly above Old Town. Centrally located. This place has always intrigued me. There is no advertising and no way of knowing it is a B&B. I pulled the information below off http://www.sandiegobandb.com/listings.htm . I am not affiliated with this business in any way. 1302 Washington Place San Diego, California 92103 (619) 295-4765 Number of rooms available 2 Extended Continental Breakfast Private &shared baths Private entrance Historic site - Arts and Crafts Bungalow, Built in 1913 John Rule San Diego, CA |
