|Subject: driving in Italy|
Dear Don &Linda
George &I drove in Tuscany, the lake region, various day trips into Switzerland, to Venice, Florence, Perugia, and the only other suggestion I can think of is one we all enjoyed (we did this trip with two other couples)
Bring a plastic tablecloth and something you can use as a knife. We stopped at many a roadside park table, large rock or just any handy place and enjoyed a picnic of items bought at the local markets.
Not only was it cheap, we got to try many of the local cheeses and other specialties of the towns we visited. We stopped to smell the roses, so to speak.
Have a wonderfull trip. We're jealous!
