Oh those were the days..Chunking mansion...
For shoestring budgets and really nice rooms, I found the following place to
be great and its not far from Nathan Rd. and the night Market area. Here is

Salisbury YMCA is nice to but the Evergreen is much cheaper and just as nice
at HK$480 ($US65) That was for the Supreme Deluxe Double. They go down in
cost from there. If my memory serves me right, it was HK$315 for a single.
MUCh, much, much, much better than chunking mansions.
Just a little story about the infamous Mansions. in 1994, we went out in
kowloon park in the early am to practice taijiquan. On our return, the
mansions were being raided by what looked like military personnell looking
for Illegals...quite the ordeal
