|Subject: Paris Hotels|
We stayed at a nice place in the 6th (bordering the 5th, really) when
we were in Paris last May. It's called the Hotel St. Paul on Rue
Monsieur du Prince. It's small, about 30 rooms (most small as
usual) - the largest rooms (even big by NY standards) are those
facing the street (I think #43 or #45 - you can ask, if your
interested). The hotel is in easy walking distance to the Odeon
metro stop, as well as some great shops and restaurants. I posted a
good review on the ziner hotel database. In May, we paid just over
$100US for 2, including a nice continental breakfast. The hotel is
part of the Abotel group (although it does not feel like a chain at
all), and they also have a slightly more upscale hotel call Clos
Medici right up the street. Also in the same area (if you want to be
in the 6th) is what looks like a beautiful place call Relais St.
Sulpice (right behind the Church of St. Sulplice).
We used the france.com web site and had great luck in finding nice places in a wide range of prices.
