Pretty much located in Augsburg's city center is a very popular restaurant which cooks and serves according to original recipes and habits of the middle ages. It is really worth going there, but I forgot its name.
I assume that you arrive via Munich airport and then take the Intercity to Augsburg (here an unsolicited suggestion: if you can, take the Domberger bus to Augsburg. I tried both and found the bus more convenient, comfortable, and less expensive). The bus also stops close to the railway station and, whether you take the train or the bus, a tourist information office is practically within sight. No doubt, they will be able to let you have the name of the restaurant.
My best regards Joachim
